China has warned US officials not to interfere in strengthening ties with India. This information was reported by NDTV on Wednesday (November 30) citing the US Department of Defense Pentagon. The Pentagon said in their recent report that the United States wants to play a role in reducing tensions on the Sino-Indian border. Through this, India can become a closer partner with the United States. It said that since May 5, 2020, Chinese and Indian troops engaged in non-lethal offensive actions and clashes at several places along the border of the two countries.
In the wake of the incident, the Indian Army is working to strengthen the border. Infrastructure construction continues along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) along the Indian border. According to the report, there has been some progress in the talks between India and China recently. Both countries called for the withdrawal of their forces from the border and a return to talks. But in the end neither China nor India agreed to this condition. China’s military has maintained a constant presence along the border since the 2020 conflict. India, on the other hand, continues to build infrastructure along the LAC. According to reports, in late May 2020, Chinese forces objected to the construction of an Indian road within Indian territory in the Galwan River valley. The Galwan Valley conflict was the deadliest between the two countries in 46 years. About 20 Indian soldiers and four PLA soldiers were killed in the violent encounter.
